California Drug Bust

According to CNN.com, California authorities siezed $45 million dollars worth of illegal drugs found in a tractor trailer. The San Bernardino sheriffs office reports that during the investigation of the traffic violation, they noticed a “overwhelming odor” coming from the pallets in the back of the truck. Upon futher investigation the sheriffs officials discovered ”about 20 tons of narcotics stashed in pallets in the back of the truck, including about 38,000 pounds of marijuana, 2,700 pounds of cocaine and 67 pounds of methamphetamine, the sheriff’s office said in a statement,” which resulted in was one of the largest narcotics bust in the counties history.
