Nashville Drug Trafficking

Law enforcement agencies in four Middle Tennessee counties involved in a drug trafficking investigation thwarted a major drug cartel distribution ring. According to the U.S. Attorney’s office in Nashville, officers raided homes and businesses and were able to confiscate drugs, money and weapons in a suburban Nashville subdivision and stopped a multi-million dollar cocaine distribution center.

The Tennessean reports that the federal prosecutors office in Nashville states, “All of the arrests sprang from a single drug-trafficking operation that funneled several hundred kilograms of cocaine and marijuana from Mexico into Middle Tennessee, California and Arizona.

While these arrest are significant in getting drugs off the streets of Nashville, it is just a drop in the bucket in the war against drug abuse and addiction.
