The Mexican Drug Cartel War Zone

According to FoxNews.com, the Mexican Drug Cartel, The Los Zetas, tried to blow up Falcon Dam along the Rio Grande last month. This twarted attempt was not directly aimed at the American people but toward their rivals in the drug smuggling game the Gulf Cartel which controls drug smuggling efforts from the Falcon Dam to the Gulf of Mexico. However, had the attempt been successful more than 4 million Americans would have been affected along with thousands of acres of agricultural land.




The seriousness in gaining the control of our nations borders could not be more evident than this attempted terror plot. I say terror plot because, more than ever, we must look at the drug cartel as terrorist against our nation in that they are bringing illegal drugs and weapons into our country killing and destroying lives. Billions of dollars are being spent by the drug cartels in order to building underground tunnels to get their drugs and people into the United States.

“It certainly has the potential to be a serious security risk,” McClintock said. “The plot by the Zeta drug cartel to blow up the Falcon Dam appeared to be quite credible. And as we have found over the years, before there is a successful attack, it is preceded by several unsuccessful attempts that clearly indicate intent. It would be utterly foolish to ignore.” Rep.
